The Stone Sling, also known as the Shepard's Sling, has a fascinating history on the island of Guam. Handcrafted with care, We at SLING GUAM handmade each of these slings to ensure their quality. The sling has been used by the indigenous CHamoru people for centuries as a tool for hunting, self-defense, and even as a form of entertainment.

In ancient times, slinging was a vital skill for survival on Guam. The CHamoru people would use the Stone Sling to launch projectiles, such as stones, with remarkable accuracy and force. It allowed them to hunt birds and small game, providing a valuable source of food.

The Stone Sling also played a role in warfare and self-defense. Warriors would skillfully wield the sling, launching rocks at their enemies with deadly precision. The range and power of the Stone Sling made it a formidable weapon in battle.

However, the use of the Stone Sling extended beyond practical purposes. It became a popular pastime among the CHamoru people, who would gather for friendly competitions and games of skill. These events showcased the dexterity and accuracy of the slingers, providing entertainment and fostering camaraderie within the community.

Today, the Stone Sling carries on this rich heritage on Guam. It serves as a reminder of the island's history and cultural traditions.
